I picked a ton of green tomatos before the first frost but have no clue what to do with them. The only thing I have ever heard of is fried green tomatos – which I’ve never had. What’s the easiest and best way to prepare them?

I picked a ton of green tomatos before the first frost but have no clue what to do with them. The only thing I have ever heard of is fried green tomatos – which I’ve never had. What’s the easiest and best way to prepare them?

Any suggestions for using green tomato’s? I would like to find a use other than pickling.

I’m using a self-supporting Topsy-Turvy planter with Miracle Grow tomato fertilizer once a week. The plants are all growing very well on an outdoor porch with plenty of breeze albeit not many bees. Can tomato plants fertilize or rather pollinate themselves or do they require pollination from another plant?

and are Tomatillas the same as green tomatos?
